Leftover Demo Image
http://i.imgur.com/Ogrix4B.png Can't remember where I found this, but it's possibly a leftover from the same kiosk demo that was released by iNDEPENDANT. Einstein95 06:50, 28 April 2013 (EDT)
- You'd be correct. In fact, why not look at the kiosk demo rom? I know there's already map differences on Route 203. --Team Fail 11:54, 7 July 2013 (EDT)
- How can one get such demo rom? Chaossy - The Computer Geek 00:35, 8 July 2013 (EDT)
- I found it on Google once upon a time, but all I can seem to find it in now is Torrents. I might mirror it and make some links on other sites so it doesn't become lost to time. --Team Fail 02:19, 8 July 2013 (EDT)

- Ah, that place. Anyway, if anyone needs some codes for Walk Through Walls and Timer Disable (It ends after or 15 minutes), I can provide them on request. I just gotta grab them from my USERCHT.DAT on my Acekard.--Team Fail 12:19, 21 July 2013 (EDT)

- It's in resource\eng\trial\trial.narc in the Version 0x05 Diamond rom. --PowerKitten (talk) 19:54, 23 March 2017 (EDT)
Unused Multiboot Rom?
See File:Pokemon Diamond Multiboot rom.zip, first of all. Once downloaded and extracted, rename it to something you like, it comes as .DAT by default when ripped from the ROM.
I found this while exploring the rom filesystem of the game, completely on a whim. It has a complete header for a game, NINTENDO and NTRJ, both the defaults for any new game in development, but it seems to crash. I'm wondering if there's anything left over in there, or if any parts of it still function. I haven't checked the kiosk demo for the file's existence yet, but I assume it'd be the same file in there as well (Quick ninja edit: They are.) --Team Fail (talk) 12:36, 22 July 2014 (EDT)
- It seems to be a mere Wii connection test. The file exists in all Gen IV games. Here's a video of eoo.dat extracted from both Japanese and American Platinum running on DeSmuME: [LINK DELETED] SatoMew (talk) 07:36, 8 August 2014 (EDT)
Contest Pass
Is it worth noting that after years of being unused the Contest Pass finally is seen in Pokemon ORAS?--ChReNiC (talk) 20:10, 5 December 2014 (EST)
- ORAS is a remake of Ruby and Sapphire, in which the pass was used, so not really. --AquaBat (talk) 20:34, 5 December 2014 (EST)
More unused maps
This video has some not listed on the page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oXtrX7Gj4c
Especially notable seem to be maps 0144 and 0145 (7:00 in the video). -- Sanky ~ talk 06:49, 16 March 2015 (EDT)
- Some of those maps can be found here: Pokémon Platinum/Unused Maps GermanPokemon (talk) 09:53, 16 March 2015 (EDT)
How do you actually tell if it's used or not?
I mean do you literally have to go by person experience because things like this

"ground0.NCGR"
the game is littered with things like that which I don't ever remember being used, and that thing there doesn't seem to resemble any of the battle screen at all and is awfully rough so I can't see any possible way it could have been used.
But am I right? I just have no idea, and no way of really knowing for sure... --Tavi (talk) 18:37, 14 July 2015 (EDT)
- There's probably a more efficient way of doing it, but I always just do it the simple way - go through and play the game, seeing if you can find it. In this case, you can narrow this down to just battling in areas that are grassy, since this obviously isn't a cave or something.
- For what it's worth, I don't remember seeing this, either. The only place I would think to see this is the Shaymin encounter, but I looked up a video of it and this background was not used for it. I would go ahead and put it up. Worse case scenario: someone finds it in the game and takes it down. Just remember to site your source. --Spiritix (talk) 21:18, 14 July 2015 (EDT)
Unused underground traps
I remember that there are some unused underground traps in DPP which can be only obtained with some ActionReplay codes. I don't know which ones, however. --Trixi (talk) 14:18, 11 October 2015 (EDT)
Beta music
Anyone knows where is located or how the game plays the beta music of Jubilife City? I searched it in the sound data and I haven´t found anything. --Astigar (talk) 00:12, 6 January 2016 (EDT)
- Haven't been here in a while, but the game plays the beta music of Jubilife City when tweaking outside of the map or through some Mystery Zone locations; at some points the game thinks you're in an unfinished Jubilife City, hence the aforementioned track. I used to have it a long time ago from my own personal rips of the entire soundtrack (hence how I got the first music data back in 2011) but it got lost due to many hard drive moves. It shouldn't be too hard to find, it's with the rest. Heart's Soul (talk) 20:25, 24 November 2016 (EST)
Azure Flute distro cart
https://digiex.net/threads/unreleased-pokemon-slot-2-distribution-decchi-bin-azure-flute-arceus-distribution-download-jpn.14999/ This Pokemon Ranger proto has data to load the Azure Flute Mystery Gift in the Japanese versions of Diamond and Pearl. OMEGA48 (talk) 11:57, 30 April 2018 (EDT)
Early Poke Mart sign animation
I managed to get the animation to load in the game using an emulated copy but what I found was that it doesn't really do much. The sign still doesn't rotate, but it does glow, if you can call it ignoring the lighting effects of the night a glow. I'm not sure if I should put a screenshot of it because of how uninteresting the effect is. --Dasragnerok (talk) 08:28, 3 September 2019 (EDT)
