Updates on the disc?

The first update, which added Ranked/Splat Zones, Port Mackerel, and the N-Zap 85 activated automatically without any patch needing to be downloaded. So that must've been on the disc, and if that's already there then the rest probably is too. Maybe not all of it, but at the very minimum there's probably the N-Zap 89 since it's a reskin, and Kelp Dome and Bluefin Depot since they're in single-player already. Can anyone datamine and figure out how much is in there? --Missingno (talk) 19:42, 4 June 2015 (EDT)

One thing I should note is that on my UK copy of the game, the Callie/Marie text announcing the new map and ranked battles appeared automatically without needing to patch, but after trying to play Ranked Battle, I was prompted to download and install the new content by closing the game and relaunching it from the Home menu. It might be a case where some regions have part of the update on the disc, and other regions don't.--TangoBunny (talk) 20:40, 4 June 2015 (EDT)
Was this right when the content was released on Monday, or a bit later on Tuesday? They just put out a bugfix patch that improved framerate in the plaza and fixed the Judd glitch, so if that was when you signed on it would've prompted you to update, but if you were there earlier the content was still there prior to this update. --Missingno (talk) 20:46, 4 June 2015 (EDT)
Ah, this was a bit later from what I recall, so I guess that bugfix was the patch! It seemed like a fairly notable update due to taking about five minutes to download, so I assumed it was the map/weapon content, but that may have just the Wii U having slow internet speeds for a bugfix patch. --TangoBunny (talk) 18:54, 5 June 2015 (EDT)
The update system is a bit odd. From what I have seen, Nintendo sends some data through the Squid Sister updates to unlock the content on the game. So, less of a patch and more of a unlock update. For patching, it needs to be done through the eShop and it does change the version number on the title screen. (The weapons that should be on the disk are the following: Carbon Roller, Custom E-liter 3K, E-liter 3K Scope, Inkbrush, L-3 Nozzlenose, N-Zap '89, and Splash-O-Matic) --Sgv Sth (talk) 01:48, 5 June 2015 (EDT)

Back of Amiibo box

I've taken two screenshots of the back of the box and tried to make 'em as clear as possible, though obviously an eventual texture rip would be leagues better. (Top and bottom of the box.) Also, taking a small screenshot of the title screen from a stream/video doesn't seem optimal so I took one of my own title screen... but it's updated to 1.2.0 and it's slightly different because of a completed story mode, so iunno if this is worth using. Still, would these be fine? --Delpolo (talk) 11:47, 8 June 2015 (EDT)

They'd be fine if you can get them as a PNG, instead of a JPG. I think the story mode being completed is fine. Robotortoise (talk) 19:29, 8 June 2015 (EDT)
They're more than suitable for now. There are plenty of Miiverse screenshots being used already, and they will be replaced when possible. --M64m (talk) 19:31, 8 June 2015 (EDT)

Unused Ink Colors?

Is this real?

Pretty sure those colors are injected. That same user managed to replace the female Inkling model with the Octoling. (Which actually revealed they have their own mask texture!) The ink color files were ripped, and can be seen here: http://i.imgur.com/3hdRBiV.png Do note though that the one with the red brackets around it had an invalid color as it's red value was 288 out of 255. The preceding unsigned comment was added by FissionMetroid101 (talk) • (contribs)
There are no unused colors in here. Only editing of existing colors. {EspyoT} 14:30, 29 June 2015 (EDT)

Alternate Blue Sea Slugs?

In addition to the ad in Arowana Mall, Crusty Sean seems to be wearing a pair of Blue Sea Slugs on his middle row of arms/legs. However, these appear to be a different model than the ones shown in the current page image since the white stripe up the middle is missing. Should this be added to the page? --Zero318 18:29, 24 July 2015 (EDT)

Weapons

Added weapon list, be sure to remove weapons after they are added in. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nopr0 (talk) • (contribs)

The Luna Blaster, Octobrush, Custom Dual Squelcher, E-Liter 3K Scope, and Neo Splash-o-matic have already been released. --Zero318 20:54, 24 July 2015 (EDT)
There are pictures of some of the weapons on the "DLC" page of the Splatoon wikia. (http://splatoon.wikia.com/wiki/DLC) --Zero318 (talk) 22:34, 31 July 2015 (EDT)

Layered Anchor LS

The Layered Anchor LS has been added to the game, however the shirt has changed to a dark red shirt instead of the gray color on the article. --Sgv Sth (talk) 00:08, 6 August 2015 (EDT)

Super obscure eastereggs & oddities?

So I heard that when you wait for 10 minutes after defeating the final boss, certain eerie sounds would play. Can anyone confirm that? Because depending on how obscure that is, it might be worth for the TCRF article. The preceding unsigned comment was added by MUGEN-tan (talk) • (contribs)

Squid Sisters amiibo rumours?

Dataminers have found amiibo files "amiiboIdolA" and "amiiboIdolB" in Splatoon. Meaning we probably get the Squid Sisters amiibo's. Producer, Hisashi Nogami said after the Splatoon Koshien 2016, that MORE things will be added in Splatoon soon. JumpingGuy and HammerGuy will be added as enemies, whatever this means! Can we see this for confirmation? Discussion is welcome, because this sounds legit. Source: http://www.nintendo-insider.com/2016/01/splatoon-data-miner-uncovers-squid-sisters-amiibo-evidence/

Don't have any hacking tools, but...

Are there any unused sound effects? NessPLAYS (talk) 22:14, 11 July 2016 (EDT)

Unused Gear

There's a piece of unused gear, the game points to it, it is named the "SquidForce White" and it's a small shirt with the SquidForce logo on it and it's white. Worth including here until release (if at all) Pinkolol16 (talk) 18:55, 12 July 2016 (EDT)

Splatfest Tee

Because Nintendo ceased Splatfests,This Special Tee became unused. Also remove the "In Development" Template because Nintendo stopped updating the game.--Major Agent 3 Guy (talk) 14:55, 25 October 2016 (EDT)
