I remember once that Jericho's "RAW IS JERICHO!" speech actually got used once in my game as a random cutscene. Whether it was a mistake or not I don't know, but I distinctly remember this cutscene happening. Rick (talk) 12:34, 4 December 2013 (EST)

Many thanks for your contribution Rick. I'm honestly not entirely sure myself of how many of these audio clips are actually used due to the continual endless nature of the game's Season Mode, so I've essentially compiled the ones I never remember hearing myself on the page. I'm also fairly suspicious that the 2 Mick Foley quotes are used as well, but I'll wait to hear testimonies on their existence prior to removing them. --Crashandcortex (talk) 14:17, 4 December 2013 (EST)

American Bad Ass Undertaker

I remember having a demo disc that had a game save which allowed you to replace 'taker with the ABA gimmick. It was probably something like PSM magazine. I Just wish we could find more information out to see how this worked. Its sort of like early DLC content if you think about it. Again, I had no idea how it worked, but I definitely remember having it --Marcram (talk) 12:21, 16 April 2018 (EDT)

You must be remembering wrong, because Taker has his American Bad Ass gimmick by default in this game. --Burb (talk) 00:17, 18 April 2018 (EDT)

Beta/Pre-Release-Prototype screenshots

Good day to you all... I have found some of the above screenshots, but as you can see by the title, I'm not sure where they go. Anyway, the source of these screenshots seems to be a huge oversight... It's from IGN, those lovable 10/10 giving gaming juggernauts. Why have these screenshots been oversighted? No idea... After investigating, one or two links on the page are broken and will redirect you to the homepage, and some of the videos are missing, but screenshots are still there.

First off, here is the link to the actual page https://uk.ign.com/games/wwf-smackdown-2-know-your-role

As for the articles, the most common ones are the "countdown to smackdown" which most of the articles feature some short bio's of some of the "superstars", these should be checked out incase there is any differences there.

https://uk.ign.com/articles/2000/11/14/wwf-smackdown-2-know-your-role-2 This link here is a review of the game, which to me looks like they reviewed 2 versions here and played 3 in total. The article starts off talking about the changes compared to the last build. Next you see a unmentioned tag team that isn't in the game... "Lo Down" which was D-Lo Brown and Chaz, with Chaz, formerly of the "The Moshers" were his tag partner was Mosh.

As you scroll further down, you see a mention of the games mechanics, that a heavier set wrestler such as Rikishi was alot slower then someone like the one of the Hardy Boys or Essa Rios, who are faster. Far as I remember, the game didn't have this, I seem to recall the wrestlers having the same speed and no restrictions, so the likes of Paul Bearer could DDT the Big SHow with ease if he liked.

As we scroll further down, we see the roster being named, and who else but... Michael Cole! Knowing that Michael Cole was not playable in the final edition, and that Lo Down isn't mentioned at the bottom of the article with the rosters, it adds up to a total of 3 different builds that they have played, right?

Bit further down on the article pretty much finished with this one, we get told about the backstage arena's, and the restaurant was mentioned as well as the locker room, the restaurant wasn't in the final game.

Now for the jucier stuff.. head back to the main page for the game and click images... These observations of mine will need to obviously be confirmed, but here's some I think are different...

  • Chairs are black.
  • Lita, Eddy Guerrero and a few others have different/old costumes.
  • Screenshots of Godfather and Phenom Undertaker
  • Couple of backstages look different.
  • Eddy Guerrero looks different
  • Screenshot of Tazz giving a suplex off the turnbuckle... to Michael Cole!
  • Fonts used for the superstar names look diffent, and the health bar as "belt" under the names of the title holders.
  • Timer looks different.
  • Al Snow looks different, looks like his "Head cheese" era costume.

That's it, I wonder if any other content has been overlooked in this way and maybe some other games on the site are featured? The most important or biggest thing to get out of this was the inclusion of Michael Cole, and maybe, the HeadCheese version of Al Snow?

Anyway, as I said before, this are quick observations by memory, hopefully someone can confirm these things.

  • Michael Cole is playable (after several months of Season mode) and old versions of Lita, Guerrero, Godfather and Undertaker are still in SD2 as "original" standard CAW parts. FMecha (talk) 20:25, 8 January 2020 (EST)
    • IIRC the black chair is the "Piped" chair, which allows full swings to downed opponents, instead of the chair poke you get with the regular blue ones. MRMIdAS
      • Ken Shamrock can also be seen in some of those screenshots. He was removed from the final version (but can still be accessed through hacking). And in those screenshots, he has his blue attire from Smackdown 1, whereas when you hack him back in, he's got a new green attire. --Burb (talk) 12:17, 10 January 2020 (EST)
