The Real Ghostbusters (Arcade)

Also known as: Meikyuu Hunter G (JP)

| To do: Document the numerous differences between The Real Ghostbusters and Meikyuu Hunter G. |
The Real Ghostbusters is an arcade game based upon the classic 1980s cartoon. ("Real", as opposed to those two guys with the ape, who are the real Ghostbusters as in "they came first" but not the ones everybody knows.)
Ironically, this game isn't actually a "real" Ghostbusters game at all. It was originally released in Japan as Meikyuu Hunter G, completely unrelated to the franchise aside from the vague similarity that you're a guy running around and shooting ghosts. Surprisingly, the localization actually changed quite a bit from the original game, including level design and gameplay mechanics, so much so that you could basically consider it a second (and frankly much better) revision of the original game.
Unused Graphics
Pictures of Peter, Egon, and Ray that don't seem to appear anywhere in the game, with changes in color to their suits to correspond with the ones used in-game. Of course, these are only found in The Real Ghostbusters.
