Unseen Geo

This is all of the geometry in this game that is used, but normally unseen in-game!

Backgrounds

cave

cavenormal

The background used for most of the cave sections in Cookie Country, internally named cavenormal, has a bunch of fully modeled rings that are never seen in-game.

empty

Self explanatory, also yes, there literally is a background in this game named "empty" that is straight up empty. The background, however is used in the interiors of the Lor Starcutter such as the Copy Ability Rooms, but said background however, is completely unseen in-game due to the tileset for the interiors of the Lor Starcutter, internally named ship completely obscuring the background at all times!

gckcanyon

lowper

Interestingly, the model for the background used for the Final Rest Area in the True Arena, internally named lowper, has a hidden skybox found in it, along with some other effects not normally seen in-game. These seem to be leftovers from an area shown in a screenshot for the cancelled Kirby for Nintendo GameCube, which seems to imply that this background was based on the stage model used for said area.

volcano

Characters

Meta Knight and Galacta Knight

Meta Knight and Galacta Knight have modeled faces without their masks; those goes unseen as in this game, they never take off their masks, and clearly were never intended to!

Puppet Waddle Dee

The Waddle Dee models inside Puppet Waddle Dee's model have mostly modeled faces, which as only mostly their legs are even seen in-game, goes unseen.

Armor Waddle Dee and Armor Halcandle Dee

The models used for the Armor Waddle Dee and Armor Halcandle Dee enemies have partial models of Waddle Dees and Halcandle Waddle Dee's inside them, which mostly only their legs are ever seen in-game. The textures for the Waddle Dees and Halcandle Dees in their models additionally, are also different from the ones used in their enemy models, with Waddle Dee's having a dark gradient, and Halcandle Dee's being of a lower resolution than the ones used for the enemy model.

Volttzo

File path: DATA/files/g3d/step/weapon/volttzo/Bomb.brres.cmp

Volttzo has an unseen model for their projectile akin to the one used for Gigatzo, but instead green with yellow stars. The modeled version of their projectile is technically used in-game, but the visibility is simply just turned off, although with tools, the visibility of the projectile model can be turned on in-game.

The model with the visibility turned on.

Hidden Kirby Model

File path: DATA/files/g3d/step/chara/enemy/kirby/mike/Motion.brres.cmp

There is a hidden Kirby model which strangely enough, is found in the files for the Mike ability's animations. The textures are exactly the same as P1 (Pink) Kirby's, but there are certain eye and mouth textures missing in said model's files. The textures also don't display properly on the actual model when viewed. Although the model itself is unseen, the eye textures that are used for the attacks for the Mike ability are the ones from this model rather than the ones for his actual character model, rendering the model used.

The textures absent in this model, but present in the player models:

Unused Abilities

Super Cutter

File locations:

  • Ability Star texture, DATA/files/g3d/step/item/spabilitystar/Cutter.brres.cmp
  • Hat model, DATA/files/g3d/step/chara/hero/kirby/supercutter/Hat.brres.cmp
  • Cutter model, DATA/files/g3d/step/chara/hero/kirby/supercutter/SuperCutter.brres.cmp
  • HUD icon, DATA/files/lyt/step/game/ability_icon/SuperCutter.arc.cmp
‎Super Cutter Copy Ability

Several files related to the unused Super Cutter ability remain on the disc: the ability's icon, the HUD hat graphic, and the models for the hat and cutter weapon. It may have been scrapped because of its extreme similarity to the Ultra Sword ability. The HUD graphic also has the black outlines present in the E3 2011 gameplay footage.

Location of files: DATA/files/g3d/step/chara/hero/kirby/supersword/Motion.brres.cmp

Kirby is also completely animated, as he has animations for throwing the Cutter and catching it. He only lacks the "AbilityGet" and "FirstAttack" animations.

Super Spark

File locations:

  • DATA/files/g3d/step/item/spabilitystar/Spark.brres.cmp
  • DATA/files/lyt/step/game/ability_icon/SuperSpark.arc.cmp (overwritten)
‎Super Spark Copy Ability

The only remnant of this lost ability is its Ability Star texture. Unfortunately, the rest of this ability's remaining data, which is just its HUD icon was completely overwritten with the one for Ultra Sword. The Ultra Sword icon that overwrote Super Spark's icon is exactly the same as the one used for Ultra Sword in the actual game, likely suggesting that the HUD icon for Super Spark was overwritten later in development. Note that unlike the normal Spark ability, which has a cyan color palette, this graphic has a green color palette.
