Platinum Games is a studio that opened after Capcom's Clover Studio went bankrupt, containing several members from said studio, as well as many other former Capcom employees. They have made some of the greatest action games of all time, but unfortunately, with the exception of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and the Bayonetta franchise, all of them have been commercial failures.
