One of the launch titles for the SNES, F-Zero is the first game in Nintendo's famous futuristic racing series and a big showcase for the console's mind-blowing (at the time) Mode 7 technology!, alongside being a pretty fun game in its own right with some great music.

Hmmm...
To do:
Stuff from the source code in the 2020-07-25 Nintendo leak. There's a unique build to investigate located at NEWS_05.tar\.\home\kimura\polygon.lzh\polygon\sample0\FZEROJPN.ROM.

Extra Practice Mode Tracks

Normally, Practice mode allows you to race on seven tracks: Mute City I, Big Blue, Sand Ocean, Death Wind I, Silence, White Land I, and Port Town II. However, two more tracks are present: White Land II and Fire Field, which can be selected with the code 7E0053?? (where "??" is 07 for White Land II or 08 for Fire Field).

Both tracks are fully functional in Practice (including their numbering as tracks 8 and 9 respectively), but they aren't normally selectable. Their purpose is for use in the special ending sequence that appears after clearing the game on Master difficulty in the Queen or King Leagues.

Regional Differences

Hmmm...
To do:
Replace the US/Europe video with one without an intro or the game's credits.
Japan US/Europe

The ending movie for Master difficulty was changed in the international versions, and its accompanying text was rewritten, now being one line shorter:

Japan US/Europe
THE RACE IS OVER.
THE RACE IS OVER...
YOU ARE THE MASTER
OF F-ZERO!!
YOU ARE AN F-ZERO MASTER!!
AND NEXT......
GOODBYE
WIN FOR YOUR LIFE!!
FROM CAPTAIN FALCON
AND THE F-ZERO CREW.
CONGRATULATIONS!!
