Differences
- There is no secret button inputs to enable the quick start menu.
- There's a few placeholder movies that are not found in the final version.
- Multitudes of debug options in the quick start menu not found in the final version.
- A song present from Sakura Taisen 3: Paris wa Moeteiru ka remains on this disc which is not on the final version.
- There's an unused sequenced version of the main theme from Sakura Taisen Monogatari: Mysterious Paris. The final version uses a streamed, live performance of this song. This also found its way into Sakura Taisen V Episode 0: Kouya no Samurai Musume, although slightly longer.
- The title screen is different. Normally, you can not see the title screen during gameplay.

Debug Modes
Like the final version of the game, the same menu can also be found here. The major differences here is several extra debug options not present in the final release. You can't normally access it either. To re-enable this mode, apply the below code.
Master Code (only needed for cheat devices) 9012E1B8 0C04B816 Enable Debug Modes on Controller 2 E010FD0C 0025C38C 2025C398 0C17FE80 205FFA00 3C0201F2 205FFA04 8C42EB48 205FFA08 24032000 205FFA0C 14430008 205FFA10 3C0201DB 205FFA14 8C413AB4 205FFA18 28230007 205FFA1C 10600006 205FFA24 24230001 205FFA28 AC433AB4 205FFA2C AC403AB8 205FFA30 03E00008 205FFA38 AC403AB4 205FFA3C 03E00008 205FFA40 AC403AB8
The debug button combinations are the same as the final version, except pressing L1 on this version will enable or disable the quick start menu. Pressing it once will enable it, then start a mode to appear in the menu. Not all menu options or port modes work.

This appears to only test camera movement.
Svr Viewer Release
This probably allows you to view enemy models, however it doesn't appear to work.
SLG Map Viewer Release
This menu allows you to select the battle maps of your choice, however only one map is present on the disc. You can freely move around the map without any enemies. You can also toggle a free camera option as well.

Nothing appears to work here.
Unused Text
A file called DISC.CVS present on the game disc contains all of the files and path information used to compile the game image. Click here to view it.
Unused Videos
A few test videos not found on the final version can be seen here.
- The first video appears to be testing a movie file encoder. The movie file name is SLGSAKURA1MOVIE.
- The second video features Sakura Taisen 3: Paris wa Moeteiru ka's reveal trailer. The movie file name is SLGSW3MPEG2.
