The Game Boy Color Space Invaders is a remake of Taito's arcade classic with some typical enhancements, such as alternate weapons and different types of enemies.

Level Select

At the main menu, highlight "Play" and press Left (×2), Right (×2), Left, Right, Left, Right, Left (×2), Right (×2). A new option called "Test" will appear, and selecting it will take you to the test menu. The "Level" option lets you select your starting level, and the "Invul" option can be set to one of the following:

  • X: Does nothing.
  • C: Infinite continues.
  • L: Infinite lives.
  • S: Infinite shields.

Unused Music

The game's soundtrack has one partially unused song and one completely unused song.

The Game Over theme (#08 in the GBS) lasts about nine seconds, but only the first ~6 are heard before the game returns to the title screen.

This track, #02 in the GBS, is simply never used.
