See, this is why server preservation is important.
This game/console's online features are no longer supported.
While this game/console's online features were once accessible, they are no longer officially supported and online-exclusive features may be documented as now-unseen content.
Hmmm...
To do:
A bunch of things need to be done, including:
  • Upload a title screen image for the bob.
  • Upload images of the mentioned assets.
  • Get comparison images for the visual changes between 1.1 and 1.2.

Club Penguin Sled Racer, is Club Penguin's attempt at an endless runner, where you slide down the Tallest Mountain and get as far as you can while avoiding rocks, floating anvils, giant cacti and prehistoric fish.

Sub-Page

Hmmm...
To do:
This will likely need a Pre-release sub-page for internal snippets from the June 3rd Disney leak for content about Sled Racer's tentative 2.0 update.

Unused Sprites

Sportscaster Rookie

In the 1.2 update, assets for Rookie were added for an unused newscast that would've been present on the main menu.

Unused Textures

Green Inner Tube

In the 1.2 update, alongside the regular textures for the innertube the player uses, a green variant with the filename "innertube_skiwax_green" was added. It's possible this may have either been a power-up or an unlockable piece of clothing similar to the Golden Goggles.

Inaccessible Content

Golden Goggles

Added in the 1.3 update, the Golden Goggles were an unlockable piece of clothing that you could earn by being at the top of the Friends list on the Leaderboards by the end of that week.
As of Jan 12, 2016, the Golden Goggles became inaccessible, due to the app being retired and the ability to log in being disabled.

Revisional Differences

App Versions

The app had four main versions released during its lifespan before being retired.

  • V1.0 (Aug 6, 2014): Initial release on iOS.[1]
  • V1.1 (Sept 30, 2014): Bug fixes.
  • V1.2 (Apr 2, 2015): Initial release on Android[2] and a major overhaul of the game.
  • V1.3 (May 5, 2015): Final version, Golden Goggles were added.

V1.2 Changes

In the 1.2 update, the game had a large overhaul. Some changes are the following:

  • Leaderboards were introduced, for both global and friends.
  • Power-ups were introduced to assist the player in certain scenarios.
  • The game's UI was given an overhaul for the additional features and to fit Club Penguin's in-universe sports network, CPSN.
  • Sound effects and music were changed.
