So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

The last game in the beatmania series. This game serves as a combination collection release and update, with songs from almost every previous beatmania arcade release, along with brand-new songs and transplants from beatmania III and IIDX. It's arguably the best game in the original beatmania series.

Unused Text

Hmmm...
To do:
Find a MAME cheat which will put those entries into the song selection wheel.

Mixed in with the song titles in CPU memory are a few unused ones. "ENDING" is used as the title of the song you "play" during the credit roll after finishing a Normal mode game, but there is no way to pick it during normal play. Selecting any of the unused slots by modifying the song selection wheel will cause the game to play a duplicate of the NORMAL chart for PARANOiA MAX ~DIRTY MIX~.

Unused Music

Hmmm...
To do:
Find a MAME cheat that will make it possible to access it in-game.

The game contains data for the crack style ANOTHER chart from beatmania 3rdMIX for Attack the music, which goes unused due to being overridden by the 49 MUSIC MIX ANOTHER chart from beatmania completeMIX 2.

"DJ Groove"

At the beginning of PRG ROMs 6a and 8a (which are the odd and even split bytes of one single binary image), the following string can be found:

COPYRIGHT (C) KONAMIGRXXX 96.10.26DJ GROOVE

As shown by comments in the leaked source code found attached to beatmania Best Hits which also mention "DJ Groove", and the early date of this notice, DJ Groove was probably the working title for the original beatmania.
