Hmmm...
To do:
Include any information from the Taikanban

Tokyo Xtreme Racer is the first Dreamcast installment for the Shutokou Battle/Tokyo Xtreme Racer series, and the first game in a 'reboot' of the series. Due to the Dreamcast being delayed for almost a full year for the West, it became one of the 19 launch titles for the Dreamcast in North America and Europe.

License Plates

In the English versions, the Japanese plates were replaced with all cars using a Massachusetts 997-XNE license plate. This meant that secret features with the license plate, such as being able to get cars for free when you get a "77-77" plate via the randomize feature, or the Initial D AE86 Sprinter Trueno (known in-game as 'TYPE-AE86TD') which can be unlocked via inputting the plate "群馬 55 は ・1 02" were cut out (meaning the only way to access the AE86TD in the English version is to transfer data from the Japanese version of the game to the English one).

Added Cars

2 Mitsubishi Eclipses (the 2nd and 3rd generation) were added in as part as additional cars to the car roster. Despite this, none of the rivals drive either of these cars, and the Eclipse wouldn't appear in a Shutokou Battle game until Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero

Team and Boss Stickers

4 different stickers in-game were censored in the US/PAL release. the TR Racing stickers had the cross replaced with an eye, Dreaming Wraith/Banshee's shuriken symbol on its sticker was removed (likely due to it having a similar shape to a Swastika), and the Cross and the '666' on ???/UNKNOWN's sticker were replaced with 2 Hexagram-like symbols. the censored logos for TR Racing (the Leader specific one) and Dreaming Wraith/Banshee would later become the official logos starting from it's sequel onwards.
