In the course of this button-bashing dungeon crawl, you'll destroy countless demons, ghosts, sorcerers, and joysticks.

Data Disk

The monochrome and color versions shipped together on independently functioning 800K disks—"GAUNTLET" and "Gauntlet (Color)"—with identical copies of the sound and level data.

However, dialogs exist that ask for a secondary disk (by two different names):

If it's so gaunt, why won't it fit on the first disk?

Please insert THIS

Neither is shown when a file is missing. The game simply crashes, or tries to get by without it (such as by generating an endless series of mostly empty levels out of garbage data).

Creator Code

The Gauntlet application's four-letter signature is IRON.
