Unused Graphics

C Major / A Minor Key Signature Icon

MSM Composer No Key Sig Icon.png

An unused icon for the C Major / A Minor key signature exists in sig_sheet_shadowed.png, consisting of an X under a sharp and a flat.

Stop Button

MSM Composer Stop Button.png

An unused sprite for a stop button named button_small_stop.png. Considering the button for playing a monster's track is called button_small_play.png, and the fact that a button under the exact same name is used to stop a monsters track on Composer Island in My Singing Monsters, this was likely meant to appear after pressing the play button.

Leftover UI sprites from My Singing Monsters

My Singing Monsters Composer yellow selectable bar.png

The "selected" bar from the My Singing Monsters breeding menu. In Composer, the unselected version is used when selecting a monster, and as such is changed to fit the game's UI style.

MSM Composer hud01.png

The hud01.png sprite sheet contains mostly MSM leftovers, with only one sprite being in the Composer style and used in the game.

Msm composer leftover button bases.png

buttons01.png contains some leftover button and scrollbar sprites.

MSM Composer Save Button.png

composer_buttons01.png contains a leftover save button from MSM

Msm composer context buttons leftovers.png

context_buttons.png contains leftover buttons for news, watching an ad to speed something up, upvoting and downvoting an island, and recording a video. These sprites were all removed in version 2.0.

MSM Composer Title tipframe.png

The title tip frame from the MSM loading screen exists leftover.

Unused Rare Sprites

Many monsters that don't have Rare variants in this app have sprites for their rares, due to them copying their sprite sheets from the original My Singing Monsters.

Unused Sounds

Old Boodoo Sample Sound

There is an unused sample sound for Boodoo that uses its sounds from this game instead of its memory game sound from MSM.

Wubbox Sounds

There exists an unused sample sound for the Wubbox monster, implying it is (or was) planned to be added to the game at some point.

There also existed the activate sound for Wubbox before version 1.0.9, where it was removed.

Unused Note Pitches

Many monsters have unused sounds for certain note pitches that go unused due to their respective notes oddly reusing a previous note sound but pitched up by the game. Most of the sounds that do this are long notes, however there are also some short notes that are like this. Note that many of these sounds were removed from the games files in version 1.0.9.

Reedling

Reedling's long notes mostly use the odd numbered sounds, leaving most of the even numbered sounds unused.

Oaktopus

Unused Animations

Rare Quibble Long Notes

Normally Quibble and Rare Quibble just use their short note animations for their long notes, however Rare Quibble has unused unique long note animations. Only the first of these 4 animations are actually unique however, as the other 3 animations are just the short note animations but set to loop.

Unused Text

Unused UI

Clef Button

My singing monsters composer clef button.png

A button that switches between a monster's common and rare counterparts when tapped.

Debug Monster UI

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Update the screenshot, as a move button sprite now exists.

Msm composer debug ui.png

A set of debug buttons meant for selecting a monster exists. Due to there being no move button sprite, the sprite just defaults to a small button sprite. The info button is also set to a sprite that doesn't exist, causing the same thing to happen
