Proto:Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix
This page details one or more prototype versions of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix.
This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. Notes: More context about this prototype (when it was complied, when it was found etc) would be nice. |

Kingdom Hearts 1
This build of the game was from May 1st, 2013. The original release date was March 14th, 2013, indicating that this is a PAL prototype. This build was released on May 1, 2024, 11 years after its build date.
Notes
- Many of the maps below have collision out of bounds. It's possible that that the maps may have collision that reflect older deleted maps. If someone can create a mod for KH1.5 to see collision, then it may be possible to locate the collision of these older maps.
- It seems that in the shortcuts and gummi ship sequences, triangle is square, square is X, and X is triangle. Circle is unaffected.
- Prerendered cutscenes are in Japanese.
- Opening and ending cutscenes are in Japanese, and the opening and ending credits for both games in the collection are the Japanese credits.
- The opening and ending cutscenes for 358/2 Days are also in Japanese.
- If you choose to have a world-specific party member in your team, they will not spawn, except in the pause menu. By changing the game memory, you can add Pooh to your active party, but the game will crash in combat.
- If you do choose to have a world-specific party member in your team from debug, such as Beast in Atlantica, pressing pause will crash the game.
- Gummi ship names are distorted, containing various names and words from other models or parts.
- Surely Dead and Don't Dead do not take precedence over one another. If both are active then Sora will not drop any health at all.
- Bosses do not seem to count toward the overall kill count.
- It appears that the builds interact slightly differently on console than on emulation, with accessibility on emulation.
- When flying the gummi ship, pressing R2 cycles the score point display from showing the score and the enemy ships defeated to just the score to none
- When documenting the Heartless that are appearing in each map, the documented heartless are wave 1 only unless with a +. Example: 5 soldiers+ 2 red opera, 1 large body, 2 soldiers + 1 defender, 1 green requiem
- Unless noted otherwise, Sora spawns alone.
- "Nothing" or a derivative means "nothing out of the ordinary out of the ordinary" not "nothing out of the ordinary at all",
- This build does not seem to have another side another story, nor the ending report
- The ▉ symbols in events > BattlePort are probably Kanji that no longer exist in the font file.
- Sometimes, the text does not fit in the textboxes and extends beyond the textboxes.
- Sometimes the subtitles from cutscenes will stay on screen even during gameplay.
- When in the journal, press Triangle to view the characters model; press left and right and the character model will shrink and grow.
- If you decrease the model size past 0 into the negatives, the model will distort slightly and invert orientation.
- You can also change the characters positions by pressing up and down.
- This build of the game was from May 1st, 2013. The original release date was March 14th, 2013, indicating that this is a PAL prototype.
- Sora's base strength is 4 in debug.
- Any Dummy equipment or items do not have descriptions.

Title Screen Debug
Note 1: Pressing L1 opens debug. Note 2: Pressing select at the title screen bypasses all difficulty and the opening tutorial in dive to the heart and starts you at destiny islands with the keyblade. Note 3: Default difficulty is Final Mix in most circumstances Note 4: Pressing L3 skips destiny islands entirely and grants access to all worlds but at level 1 and shows hooks pirate ship on the world map like monstro.
Map/Event Legend
This is a map list from all the areas in the game.
While this is a complete list of worlds, there are 2 non-selectable maps, those being potentially the pridelands and GB, possibly being Great Britain, a cut world that was combined into Peter Pan(PP), and ZZ being a remnant Debug World.
These worlds, are typically named after the movie in question, not the world itself. This admittedly makes the GB logic above questionable.
The page data below can theoretically be applied to the PS2 release.
The events and worlds are based of key codes used as the first letter of each word as a capital.
Exampleː Dive to the Heart.
Example2ː the Little Mermaid
In the case of one worded sentences, its arbitrary, such as PInocchio, or POoh
They are divided into multiple pages, those beingː
* 0 Dh(Dive to the Heart) Dive to the Heart is the dream like Ethereal world where sora first encounters The Heartless.
Dive_to_the_heart Dive to the heart info. |
* 1 DI(Destiny Islands) Destiny Islands is the first world where Sora starts his journey.
Destiny_Islands Destiny Islands info. |
* 2 DC (Disney Castle) Destiny Islands is the world that remains inaccessible and can only be accessible via the means of the Debug Menu or by hacking.
Disney_Castle Disney Castle info. |
* 3 TW Traverse World(?)/Traverse Town Traverse Town is where Sora meets Donald and Goofy for the first time, and he rings a giant bell.
Traverse_Town Traverse Town info. |
* 4 AW (Alice in Wonderland) Alice in Wonderland is a world, based on the book and subsequent movie of the same title.
Wonderland Alice in Wonderland info. |
* 5 TZ (Tarzan/Deep Jungle) Deep Jungle is a world based on the Disney movie Tarzan.
DeepJungle Deep Jungle info. |
* 6 PO (Hundred-Acre Wood) Hundred Acre Wood is a world within a book, that is based off the books, movies and tv series for Whinny the Pooh.
Hundred-acre_wood Hundred Acre Wood info. |
* 7 ??? (non-selectable) This world is nonselectable, even with debugging tools. But I theorize it was originally the pridelands, which was replaced into the story, in Kingdom Hearts 2.
* 8 AL (Aladdin/Agrabah) Agrabah is a world based off the adventures of Aladdin, the Disney movie, though its arguable if The Thief and the Cobbler had a hand in it too.
Agrabah Agrabah info. |
* 9 LM(The Little Mermaid/Atlantica) Atlantica is a world based off the movie "The Little Mermaid" Not to be confused with the book of the same name.
Atlantica Atlantica info. |
* 10 NM (Nightmare Before Christmas/HalloweenTown) Halloween Town is a world based on the movie "The Nightmare before Christmas."
HalloweenTown Halloween Town info. |
* 11 HE (Hercules/Olympus Coliseum) Olympus Coliseum is a world based off of the disney movie Hercules.
Olympus_Coliseum Hercules info. |
* 12 PI (Pinocchio/Monstro) Monstro is a debatable world based off of the disney movie Pinocchio.
Monstro Pinocchio info. |
* 13 PP (Peter Pan/Neverland) Neverland is a world based off of the Disney movie "Peter Pan"
NeverLand Neverland info. |
* 14 ??? (non-selectable) This is non-selectable, even with Debug or hacking. the data just doesn't exist anymore. However I theorize based on its placement, that it was GB, that being Great Britain, and the pirate ship would utilize the original data slot for Neverland.
* 15 PC (Princess's Castle/Hollow Bastion) This is the world where Sora meets Adam, or Beast, and climbs a towering castle finding who his real friends are at that time of the story.
Hollow_Bastion Hollow Bastion info. |
* 16 EW (End of the World) End of the world, is a plain of the conclusion to Kingdom Hearts 1 containing the final gameplay segments.
End_of_the_World End of the World info. |
- 20 ZZ(Crashes On All Options)
From what I've heard, this is a remnant of a debug world with many tests and functions used to test the games data and physics.
There is a folder in the games data called "SaveData99" that represents each location in the games worlds containing save data from the PS2 release.
For example, a save file going into Agrabah, might be in SaveData99 > AL > BISLPS-25198-01.
Event Listː Battle Port
Battle Port may either be based off difficulty and giving a different battle report, or an event, such as Jump Festa.
* 1. kingdom hearts final cutscenes ▉▉ Seems to be just Sora remembering Riku, leading up to the final cutscenes, maybe based on difficulty? * 2. kingdom hearts final cutscenes Yokan Seems to be just Sora remembering Riku, leading up to the final cutscenes, maybe based on difficulty? * 3. kingdom hearts final cutscenes ▉▉yoru Seems to be just Sora remembering Riku, leading up to the final cutscenes, maybe based on difficulty?
Event Listː Jump Festa
* 1. DI: Destiny Islands Demo
Note: Despite being Jump Festa, its in English.
Note 2: Starts on Destiny Islands just after the Dive To The Heart.
* 2. TW: Traverse Town Demo
Note 3: it seems as though the demo doesn't technically end as I was able to beat the boss for traverse town, and travel to Olympus coliseum without it stopping.
Note: there is a moment of the Japanese Donald being voiced.
* 3. PP: NeverLand Demo
Note 4: crashes on hardware and never loads on emulation. This implies that it may be trying to load GB, or Great Britain, or Hooks ship from when they were 2 separate properties.
* 4. By altering the files, you can alter the games data in the events in KH1ReSource > event_data > JF folder to swap the files in the back folder to utilize an AL event for saving Aladdin and Abu.
In this file, Sora is level 21, Donald is 18, and Goofy is 23 the timeclock is 99:59:59. Note5ː The game softlocks immediately after the heartless are defeated.
* 5. You can do the same thing for the traverse town data, but for is some reason is more stable from the back folder.
in addition to being more stable, the timeclock starts from the file load, the levels for sora, donald and goofy are: 10, 8, and 11.
* 6. The same thing can be done for the Destiny islands data and is more stable, it also has sora learning firaga, blizzaga and thundaga. Sora is level 2.
Sora also loads outside of bounds.
I was able to manipulate the files to see if I could load the file for the peter pan demo, and unfortunately, the game recognizes it as corrupt somehow.
Inventory List
There are a substantial amount of items in Kingdom Hearts 1.5. Below is a link to where you can access a list of all of the items, Gummis and blueprints.
Inventory Inventory info. |
Unused Material
The first in this build has several pieces of unused material. The next item that is somewhat unused is an image of the Kingdom Hearts Final Mix Showcase as a remnant in the games files.
The next item is Hook's ship, labeled as the "Pirate ship", which was isolated in the PS2 release article, however, in this build, this ship was also touched up slightly. It also cannot seem to be traversed to even by hacking the coordinates. The pirate ship could originally be accessible by going to neverland by either Atlantica or HalloweenTown. While that seems like an obvious factor, it is a navigate-able location by hacking, If you travel there by Normal Drive, then the game will recognize it as "Monstro's not here, let's go before he comes back." otherwise it will act like something is supposed to happen but nothing does, or the curser will lock so you cannot control the gummi ship.`
There are also torches in the game as well that appear to be unused, they are located in the Olympus Coliseum.
There is a mine in the game that appears to be located in two places.
HE-02-M and HE-06-M. each of the mines deal 1 HP of damage to sora upon contact.
HE-03-M has 2 mines, and HE-06-M has 28 mines on a pedestal and a torch beneath them.
Please note that the Character position cannot natively get to the mines, so minor changes had to be made.
By manipulating the hex values of the game, you can manipulate the cursor of the world selection to indicate "Disney Castle" But it will not navigate there.
Potential unused materialː There are pieces of collision outside of every map, they reflect areas of the world that are not rendered. Examples includeː Going into the Red Room in Traverse Town, and outside of the room is collision for the rest of Traverse Town. If a tool could be created to view collision, then its possible that there may be unused rooms that would then be visible. However, this is a hypothesis.
