Unused Room

Some one has found this unused room in the game, anyone who has ever watched a video of the beta will find this very similar to one of the rooms shown in the beta footage. --MitchZer0 18:37, 22 June 2010 (EDT)

Image Manipulation

Fusion_oddmeteor: Actually, I've tried manipulating the colors/etc. of the image for a while, and I'm not sure there's anything after the 'ん', except for that flare at the end - it could just be a dash or a ~, or something along those lines. I suppose it could also be a long/flare extension for the 'ん'... but that'd be rather odd.--Aoi 21:51, 13 October 2010 (EDT)

Unused items?

I noticed on this page that there's an AR code labeled "Enable Unknown Items" near the bottom of the page. Does anyone know if there are indeed any unused/unknown items, or does this just enable the items you "don't know about yet"? I'd have tested the code, myself, but my AR crashed on entering that monster of an (m) code. --Aoi 18:51, 29 September 2010 (EDT)

White Cat + Sushi

The white cat is Toro Inoue of the Sony company in Japan, considered to be their mascot. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toro_%28cartoon_character%29) So now it's a mystery as to why he's in a NINTENDO game of all places. Sarikuya 22:56, 16 October 2010 (EDT)

Well, we had a whole entire Nintendo series that had anthropomorphic characters that look like the Japanese Sony mascots. But anyways, it could be a similar reason why Sega hid an anti PS2 Easter egg in one of the Sonic Adventure 2 posters. Debug IPS problem

Disregard the earlier thing. I found the working patch on another site. Also I like how if you cheat into the Operations room long before you're supposed to go in there, the switch to activate the propulsion sequence/final escape sequence isn't there. MightyKombat 14:30, 1 February 2013 (EST)

Additional Ending Images

Those Additional Ending Images are interesting as I certainly don't remember them in the US version of the game. What is kind of funny is that they can be unlocked and viewed in the US version of Metroid Zero Mission if you linked up both games. Additional Regional Differences?

When playing through a Japanese Metroid Fusion, Japan has a difficulty setting and something else. I can't read Japanese, but English had no difficulty setting.

The other option you're referring to selects whether or not the game will display text in a mixture of kanji and kana (for adults) or kana alone (for children). Japanese children don't fully master kanji until well into high-school. Because of that, an elementary school aged child would be unable to understand most of the text in the game, so an option is given that renders kanji phonetically.
The difficulty option is already mentioned on the wiki, and the kanji-kana option is not particularly notable enough to mention. It's somewhat implied in that it's mentioned that the game is in Japanese.

Turns out that it's actually interesting, you can access all the European translations from it by substituting memory values. I've added it to the page. Makes me wonder if the Chinese release (which the page says is based on the Japanese release) will do the same.

Wrecked Ship?

I found with Double Helix the Wrecked Ship Zone. That confirm than Etcoons and Dachora are escaped with the Wrecked Ship. A Phantoon-X and the Spider Ball are found. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nathan (talk • contribs)

I want to bet you're kidding, as the Spider Ball and the wrecked ship wouldn't really have anywhere to fit in. However, I am curious, can anyone else confirm this? --MitchZer0 (talk) 00:14, 21 January 2016 (EST)
Coming back to this, I'm pretty sure that bit about the wrecked ship is absolutely false, as we would have had more than enough time to figure it out by now considering how long Double Helix has been a thing and how long we've had that (Sorta late) prototype. New videos found on unused enemies

So a youtube user by the name of Biospark has found some interesting things in Fusion, thanks to fixing some old code in fusion

Older Revision of Japanese Intro in US ROM?

Boy howdy, this page ain't been touched in a while. Cough, cough… so dusty…

So, NESBoy, over at ROMhacking.net, made a discovery. While researching the differences between the "Adult" and "Child" language modes of the Japanese game and checking them against the unused Japanese script in US ROM, he noticed that the Japanese text was a little different than the Japanese version's. In particular, the final Japanese version has a couple of lines that explain Samus' previous journey to SR388… while the older (?) Japanese script in the US ROM does not.

Upon doing a side-by-side comparison of the two intros, I noticed that the US-JP script has less punctuation and different spacing… but there's a couple of places where text was completely rewritten:

I feel like this might be worth mentioning in the article. Unless, of course, there's some Japanese language shenanigans going on and this all translates exactly the same way regardless of how it's written… Could be!
