I'm 22, my major interests include playing piano, gaming, art, cinema, and literature, and I love reading and writing about behind-the-scenes content.

As much as I love this site and its purpose, I have little experience with programming and hacking, so I'm little more than a lurker most of the time. But I'm up for testing things using emulators, and I've done some stuff here and there. Hopefully I can continue to expand my knowledge by sticking around.

We need more coverage on Rayman and Tomb Raider! RaymanPC's wiki has a bunch of entries for things that were supposedly left unused, like the original extended Rayman Origins script. This game needs looking into. As well as Tomb Raider; this glitch FAQ for the original game has some interesting tidbits about the original level structure (as well as an entire area being removed). There's probably a lot more than this.

Huge list of public Tomb Raider prototypes: [[1]]

Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary Edition

Playable alpha has leaked. Lots to see.

A Hat in Time

There are some oddities with level filenames that reflect earlier states of affairs. Mafia Town's files are under "harbor"; Battle of the Birds is "chapter3", reflecting older level progression; Alpine Ridge files are stored under "sandandsails", referencing the scrapped level, while other entries refer to "alpsandsails"; Arctic Cruise is the cheekily-named "literallycantsink".

Check INT localization strings for more discrepancies and unused content.

Vanessa's Manor 3rd floor is inaccessible in the final build but still part of the map. It can still be seen using Photo Mode to clip the camera OOB while in the attic, at least in the Switch port.

Figure out where sound effects are stored.

Kirby Star Allies

It's possible to access Guest Star Allies with Kirby using a glitch. Doing so reveals some placeholder Japanese text on his description page, as well as his full reaction to Morpho Knight's appearance (which is usually truncated when you can otherwise fight him as Kirby in The Ultimate Choice).

Sonic Unleashed (Wii)

The tutorial missions have unused stuff out of bounds.

Tomb Raider

[2]: downloadable prototypes and an inventory of unused models/sprites.

[3]: The pedestals holding the pieces of the Scion depict the item's earlier design, seen in a cut FMV also shown in this thread.

[4]: 5 unused tracks exist on the PS1 disk, including an alternate secret chime.

Tomb Raider 2

Unused rooms in Floating Islands? Need to look over this one more.

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=172535 shows an invisible platform in this level...might be some kind of debugging aid. Confirmed to exist in iOS version. It's a long invisible platform with a wall at one end and a lower level that serves no apparent purpose. A similar invisible platform appears in one of the Tibet levels, leading to a secret, but that one is most definitely used.

iOS version also has interesting strings in its localizable.strings including: Pistol Clips(!), Pickup, Puzzle, Saves Performed, Release Version 1.1, Story so far..., spare, Demo Mode, Gamma (possibly from PC version), None valid, DOZY (codename for debug mode, see TR3's page), "A New Screen got Connected", "Congratulations, you've beat Tomb Raider Classic game!".

Tomb Raider 3

What's the deal with All Hallows? Apparently the French version has exit data in one of the London levels that confirms that this was originally part of London. Check the Cathedral Key oddity (unlocks All Hallows immediately when collected?) and this link: http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=195784

Early screenshots show Peru on the globe, not visited in final.

Early Area 51 demo contains a very different level layout (that was partly necessitated by the demo nature of the game), 3D pickup indicators (removed from the final, revived for TR4-5), red crosses on medipacks instead of green, and a different sprinting roll animation. I think the sprinting/crouching controls are also reversed.

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation

[5] torch oddities in Giza levels.

[6] says that the animation for rolling out of crawlspaces was already present in TR4 (check TR3), but not actually implemented until TRC.

[http://www.tombraiderforums.com/archive/index.php/t-162978.html] discusses the flashlight item mentioned on the back of some boxes. Remnants exist in-game.

Tomb Raider Chronicles

[7] The Base includes a walled-off area used to test the deadly claw in the main storage room.

In the Opera Backstage tutorial area, Lara tells the player to swim by holding Action and a direction, which is false, you use Jump. Probably a benign error rather than a leftover, though.

Apparently has an unused level for the VCI area. Ask for more information.

Angel of Darkness

Tons of stuff for this game, I don't think I'll ever finish...also needs a pre-release article.

Document PS2/PC differences. PC version also has its own revision differences.

Tomb Raider Legend

Weird placeholder image: [[8]]

Early textures for Lara's hair back when she had a braid, ponytail texture is ripped from AOD: [[9]]

Tomb Raider (2013)

Unused HUD icons, test levels also exist.

Lara Croft GO

2nd level has serpent head decorations over the exit which can't be seen normally. Use Upscale on a jailbroken iPhone and rotate it to vertical orientation to see this.
