Hmmm...
To do:
  • Replace YouTube videos with OGGs.
  • Investigate changes made in the 2022 edition (both platform differences and regional differences).

River City Girls Zero is the last Kunio-kun game for the SNES. It has a very dark storyline which includes Kunio and Riki going to prison and a scene where Misako and Kyoko get shot (seriously).

Originally exclusive to Japan, in 2022 WayForward and Arc System Works released the game internationally for the Nintendo Switch, Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series platforms. With a new name to tie it in with River City Girls and its sequel, the 2022 reissue features a new anime introduction cutscene and additional content like savestates, a gallery, a comic, and more.

Version Differences

The copyright notice is changed in the 2022 re-release (However, the title screen is not translated in any of the localizations).
