Hi, GlitterBerri! Really nice page, I find it hard to believe that the development team would leave unused stuff in a remake, haha. Also, if you want, I would be very happy to give you .ogg versions of these sounds in the page, if they are unused (I am almost sure that they are). Very good work, I will add it to my watch list. Hey there! Come to #zelda at irc.badnik.net if you'd like to be where the discoveries are happening. Chatroom help is here, if you're unfamiliar with IRC. It's definitely not just me discovering these things! --GlitterBerri (talk) 00:36, 18 February 2014 (EST)
I know that the instrumentation is incorrect, but the songs are used.[[1]][[2]]--Porcino (talk) 08:17, 18 February 2014 (EST)
I'm already there silly :p Fireflamesniper (talk) 18:23, 14 October 2015 (EDT)

Old Unused Models

Right now, the unused object sections are set up in a way that covers the copied-over unused models from the N64 version as if they belonged to this version. I don't see a point in covering all of the same unused models from the first OoT/MQ if the models and textures are identical and untouched, especially to the degree of having new renders for the models. Wouldn't it be better to cover the differences instead, like altered file names and file removals, rather than repeating everything? Same thing goes for covering the Wind and Ice Medallions/Temples. --Peardian (talk) 18:05, 20 February 2014 (EST)

"Taking Coins from the Enemy"

Hmmmm... WhoIAm (talk) 20:56, 26 February 2014 (EST)

I do know that there is coins unused in the OOTMA Debug Rom, they might have a connection Fireflamesniper (talk) 18:20, 14 October 2015 (EDT)

MIDIs

The samples for the MIDIs are broken, however, Ocarina of Time 3D_0000001C is clearly the Fire Temple theme.....with the chanting still in it. It seems though this one's chanting is sample-based, not like the pre-rendered sample they used in the original's. It's....hard to explain. Listen to it yourselves. The chanting starts at 1:00. And sorry for the piano and timpani soundfonts, the samples are obviously off. Robotortoise (talk) 18:54, 6 March 2014 (EST)

Nevermind. I got it confused with the new version of the song. It's not unused. Robotortoise (talk) 19:13, 6 March 2014 (EST)

The tools for viewing OoT 3d files

What tools should i use for extracting and viewing the game files, the models, music? Sorry, im starting to explore game files, specially for 3DS games...

We use a program called N3DSCmbViewer. I don't think it's released to the public yet. Anyways, I'll post a link of it and some other programs for extracting 3DS...stuff on your user page. Also, FYI, you're supposed to use four tildes at the end of your TCRF message. It signs you off and leaves a timestamp. Robotortoise (talk) 21:30, 10 March 2014 (EDT)
Ok, can you now explain me how to extract the game files? I'm saving the file RomFS as .bin file, using the 3DSExplorer you gave me, and i ended up stuck... Minehot (talk)
The RomFS partition is encrypted. 3DSExplorer only parses the unencrypted header, so there's nothing you can do really. -Einstein95 (talk) 06:30, 11 March 2014 (EDT)
So how can i extract the game's files properly avoiding the key security? Minehot (talk)
You... Can't. Unless you can decrypt the rom. It's like obfuscation. There's no way around it that has been released to the public yet. --Team Fail (talk) 00:42, 12 March 2014 (EDT)

Note on Iron Knuckle

For future reference, here is why I removed the Iron Knuckle head section: all of the Iron Knuckles use the same base model, which includes Nabooru's head and both helmet shapes. Plus, it's already been established that there is no hidden Gerudo head inside the normal Iron Knuckles in this remake. What we're seeing in the model viewer really is just Nabooru's head from the pre-boss variation. --Peardian (talk) 22:10, 18 April 2014 (EDT)

Okay, thanks for the explanation. Robotortoise (talk) 00:16, 19 April 2014 (EDT)

A Moon in the Shadow Temple

I noticed when I visited the part of the shadow temple where three skulltullas are, and if you position the camera in a certain position on the right side of the wall, I can see a bright moon in the black areas, my question is why is the Moon loading the Shadow temple when it is never used?

It does the same thing in the first game, loading either the sun or the moon, depending on the time of day. As to why, I have no idea. The only thing close to using the time of day is the Sun's Song for freezing ReDeads, but it's not like the sun/moon are present in every single location there's a ReDead. --Peardian (talk) 22:33, 15 July 2014 (EDT)

Jabu-Jabu's Belly Boss room exit

Well, the boss room exit still exits. I kingda wanna post a screenshot, but it's JPEG format. If possible, gonna post the screenshot later. I don't think this is the only boss room exit. --Minehot (talk) 13:20, 27 September 2014 (EDT)

There ya go. Unfortunately, you cannot access it... OoT3D Jabu Jabu belly boss exit.jpg --Minehot (talk) 13:27, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
I do not think it's worth mentioning, we know that many settings are not used in OoT to 3DS version. --Porcino (talk) 02:47, 28 September 2014 (EDT)

Is the Master Sword GI Model Actually Unused

The only solid proof I have is that the Master Sword can only be obtained via pulling it out of the pedestal. Unless there is another means of losing and re-obtaining the sword that I don't know of. The LikeLike enemies do not steal the sword from you and as far as I know, no other enemies /NPCs can take your items away. Anybody have any ideas? The preceding unsigned comment was added by GANONdork123 (talk • contribs)

The model is used, as seen here. --M64m (talk) 14:44, 21 April 2015 (EDT)
Thanks I will take a look at that. The preceding unsigned comment was added by GANONdork123 (talk • contribs)
One of the changes made to OOT3D: if you pause and select an item, its GI model will appear on the top screen. Unless the Master Sword has a similar model in the original game, it's not unused. WhoIAm (talk) 16:03, 21 April 2015 (EDT)
