Hmmm...
To do:
  • Look through the game's code. All information here currently is sourced externally from the game's files.

The Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey is the first (and only) Elder Scrolls game on the Nokia N-Gage. While often more notable as a valuable collector's item for the phone/gaming hybrid, even this miniaturized Elder Scrolls title has some unused and interesting content to offer.

Unused Graphics

Returning artist Mark Jones was in charge of designing the logo for the eponymous Shadowkey. On his personal portfolio, The Dragon's Eyrie, he showed off sketches of different versions of the key made during development.

UI Revisions

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Write descriptions

A few UI revisions displayed by Mark Jones, once again on his portfolio. Keep an eye on the compass bar on the top of the screenshots.

Wormmouth Render

Also on the Eyrie are a selection of renders for the cute Wormmouth. These renders showcase the monster in higher quality than it is shown in-game.

Six Legged Spider Render

This "spider" was another work by Mark Jones, who knows, as mentioned in his portfolio, that spiders indeed have Eight legs, not six. Jones notes that while the technical limitations led to the spider only having enough legs to be considered an insect, the creature is admittedly very spider-like, and accomplishes the job of being a recognizable enemy in the Elder Scrolls series. These renders, like before, showcase the monster in higher quality than it is shown in-game.

Reused Music

...
This page or section needs more audio.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough audio. Please fix this.
Hmmm...
To do:
  • Which tracks? Add the titles of each track reused and make a list matching them to their Morrowind counterpart.
  • Upload (parts of) the tracks and create a comparison to Morrowind's higher quality versions.

Shadowkey's soundtrack consists of much lower quality versions of tracks found in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

Reused Graphics

In addition to the reused music, Shadowkey also reuses one of the intro slides from The Elder Scrolls: Arena.
