Hmmm...
To do:
  • Extend the article. This is a bit unfinished, to be honest.
  • Check the PlayStation port, does it have anything of interest? And what about London 1961?

Debug Mode

Start a new game with any character, but change the character's name to ROMMEL. A set of debug commands will be available in the game.

If you quit the game, this debug mode will not work when you play the game again. You have to delete the player's name and enter it again to reactivate it.

Hmmm...
To do:
Describe the possible debug keys. (Not tested if they are the same as in GTA1)

Alternate Graphics Set

Like the original game, London 1969 has two graphic sets and was developed for both, Windows and DOS.

Hmmm...
To do:
Add a screenshot for the Low-Color-version

Unused Weapon

Also like the original, there is reference to a "Petrol Bomb". It has a graphic as well as an entry in enguk.txt.

[petrol]Petrol Bomb
Hmmm...
To do:
Add sprite of the petrol bomb and other unused graphics

Internal Project Name

The EXE file for Windows (not the DOS versions) contain following strings as part of unstripped debug data.

gta2.exe
e:\gta\gtawin\gta2.exe
D:\version.115\source\WINO\gta\Debug\gta2.pdb

Although the second game and this were being developed at about the same time, this suggests either the team developing London probably planned to call the game GTA2, or GTA2 was an internal code name.
