Downloadable games for the Nintendo DSi, formerly obtainable via the Nintendo DSi Shop. Despite claims that Nintendo was competing against the rapidly growing Apple App Store, then-President Satoru Iwata personally contested this notion.
It hosts a variety of exclusive titles, some of which were notably made by WayForward Technologies, while others took advantage of the DSi's better hardware such as the built-in cameras and/or SD Card support. Although many of them were stripped down versions of retail Nintendo DS games, with the convenience of downloading them at a cheaper price with some having exclusive content and/or additional features.
The majority of these were also made available through the Nintendo 3DS' eShop.
