You know the saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"? Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD does not follow that rule, and as a result is an unpolished mockery of the original three games, notable for removing a decent chunk of graphics, trying to recreate a video with what feels like cardboard cutouts on sticks, missing a track and using the lower-quality soundtracks in the second and third games, and adding typos. Really, if there are any positives, it's that it at least looks better than the originals.

To compensate for how lackluster this compilation was, a much more faithful 3DS port was made in 2014 (later ported to multiple platforms in 2019) that fixed every single issue from this version. For the better, the earlier version would be discontinued in June 2022, being replaced by a smartphone port of that version.

Echoed "Objection!"

The Japanese versions of Trials and Tribulations have an unused echoed "Igiari!" supposed to be used during a dramatic moment at the end of Bridge to the Turnabout. An English version of this clip exists here, but goes unused as well.
