A prototype of Land of the Babes was released by Hidden Palace on April 17, 2021 as part of "Project Deluge". The build is dated April 15, 2000, a little over three months before the final build.

The game still has its original title, "Duke Nukem: Planet of the Babes" The name was presumably changed due to the 2001 Planet of the Apes movie also being in production at the time.

The ending FMV has pictures of Lara Croft and Monica Lewinsky in the background. Besides this, the credits have minor differences and the FMV itself is 10 seconds longer.
