This page details one or more prototype versions of LittleBigPlanet 2.

To do: Document the April 19, 2010 prototype that was released by CodeBound and Imagisphere. Actually create a page for the April 2013 debug build.

Ten development builds for LittleBigPlanet 2 have surfaced over the years, containing scrapped content and debugging features not present in retail versions, among various other differences.

December 16th 2009 Pre-Alpha Dated December 16th, 2009. This build is currently the earliest prototype of LittleBigPlanet 2 to surface. This is only a partially recovered build but a map file and music have been recovered

April 19th 2010 Pre-Alpha Dated April 19th, 2010. This build has differences such as Victoria's laboratory having a different environment and other differences. Internally named r40059

May 5th 2010 Pre-Alpha Dated May 5th, 2010. This build was notably used for pre-release footage, such as the LBP2 Announcement Trailer and the LBP2 QORE interview.

Private Beta Dated August 30, 2010. A private beta that was sent to various community members via PlayStation Network to gather feedback.

Nov 18th 2010 Preview Build Dated November 18, 2010. A preview build of the game that lets you play a sample of the story mode.

Nov 30 2010 Debug Build Dated November 30, 2010, a single day before the final release (wow!). Contains debug functionality and minor content/gameplay differences.

Move Pack Beta Dated April 26, 2011. A private beta of the Move Pack.

Move Pack Demo Dated August 12, 2011. From PS3 move demo disc volume 3. A demo of the LittleBigPlanet 2 Move Pack

April 29th 2013 Debug Build Dated April 29, 2013. A post-release development build containing a very early version of the DC Comics Premium Level Kit.

Revision 520229 Dated October 1, 2013. The DC Comics Premium Level Kit is more fleshed out in this build, but there are still plenty of differences to be found.
