Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World is a port of Yoshi's Woolly World and the second Yoshi game to be released on the Nintendo 3DS after Yoshi's New Island. Aside from the downgraded graphics, the game retains the gameplay and level design of the original game along with new Poochy-centric runner style levels, impressively extensive support for every amiibo under the sun (at the time at least), and the ability to design custom Yoshi patterns.

Hmmm...
To do:

  • GFA files. Possible unused or unannounced Amiibo patterns. Chibi-Robo will be avenged.
  • Unused boss test sound files. Waveform analysis, Mr. Spock.
  • Regional name differences with old and new Amiibo
  • Region specific graphics (Japanese)(Europe)(North America)

Different Yarn Yoshi patterns appear depending on the region of the system the game is being played on. Since the Japanese Famicom/Super Famicom designs drastically differ from the North American NES/SNES consoles, these differences are reflected in the design of their respective Yoshi patterns. Since the pattern takes the same place in the menu selection, they are not obtainable separately outside of their respective regions. Even if you buy the specially released "R.O.B Famicom" edition from America, Europe or Australian, the pattern is a completely different design to that of its regional counterpart, lacking buttons on Yoshi's hand, having black eyelids, and even filling up a different slot in the game.

The logo is styled differently in the Japanese version. The background also has more balls of yarn in the American version.
