A portable black and white version of the NES game.

Unused Graphics

Yoshi GB Unused Top Egg Shell Section Title Screen.png

The top of Baby Yoshi's egg, meant to be used on the title screen (as seen in the Famicom version).

Unused Bullet Bill Enemy

Game Genie code 059-0CE-E6A will enable a nearly completed Bullet Bill as a fifth enemy piece. It is fully functional, though it will turn into garbage when it settles on the playfield, as its graphics were overwritten (specifically, with the bottom of the "A TYPE" text). It is possible that the game was considered insidiously difficult with five enemy pieces.

Neither the extra piece nor its graphics are present in the NES version.

Regional Differences

Japan US Europe

Every region has a different title. In Japan, it's Yoshi no Tamago (Yoshi's Egg), in the US it's Yoshi, and in Europe it's Mario & Yoshi. The baby Yoshi's head is at a different angle on the US title screen.
