Another year, another Skylanders game. This one introduces the SuperChargers (which is the game's main gimmick, if the title didn’t tip you off), a special team of Skylanders who can pilot vehicles.

The Wii U version of this title (as well as both versions of SuperChargers Racing) also features Donkey Kong and Bowser as exclusive guest characters, with their figures doubling as amiibo.

Early Character Names

As with the preceding games, many of the characters have their names used from the development phase left on their related files, however this only applies to most of the characters brand new to this game, as the returning characters now use their official names. The only exception to this rule seems to be Bat Spin from Trap Team, who retains her original placeholder name "Fright Bite" in the game's files.

Final Early
AstroBlast Light Driver
Dive-Clops Air Lock
Fiesta Soul Jam
High Volt Swatlight
Nightfall Dark Driver
Smash Hit Koala
Splat Ink Girl (also Ink Well in other files)
Spitfire Nitro
StormBlade Peacock
Trillipede Lifebug

Similarly, the vehicles in the game's save for the villains also use placeholders, though theirs are simply a combination of "element" + "vehicle type" (i.e. Earth Tank). Interestingly, Frightbeard's has a rather humorous typo in it, referring to him as "Freightbeard".

Additionally one of the files has checks for characters from Swap Force with different placeholder names than *that* game used as well, right alongside checks for the original placeholder names.

Final Swap Force SuperChargers
Bumble Blast Bee Tree Tree Hive
Countdown DaBomb Bomb
Grim Creeper Reaper Grimm
Pop Thorn Puffer Puff
Punk Shock Eel Girl Eel
Scratch Cat Gryphon Persia
Smolderdash Sun Girl Eclipse
Star Strike Fan Girl Zodiac

Unused Music

Hmmm...
To do:
Add the other 139 music tracks.

An unused Sky Eater music track.

Gear Head VVind-Up

A leftover from Skylanders: Swap Force. He is a special variant of Wind-Up, but unlike his last appearance he is now called Gear Head VVind-Up (except on the stats screen) and wears a set of goggles. His health has been significantly boosted since he last appeared, now starting out with 1337 health at level 1, and reaching 4011 health at level 20. As a result, he has more health than any Skylander in this game.

Template Template

A leftover from Skylanders: Swap Force who is a green humanoid with a purple shirt, blue pants, black shoes, and a dark blue tail. Template Template is mostly the same except his upgrades now costs money and he got a new icon, that of a generic blob. In race menus, he uses a generic Trigger Happy icon. Template Template can drive, but lacks a unique icon for it.
