The original survivor horror redone for the GameCube, fixing loads of problems the original game had (including the original "dialogue"), and overall making the game look prettier. This version of the game would be used in all ports of the game on newer systems after.

Not only does the Japanese title screen say biohazard, using a different font than the USA version, but also the eye in the background is different as well. Also, there's an added bit of copyright info for Capcom U.S.A. in the US version for obvious reasons.
