Bomberman World (not to be confused with the Irem arcade game) is the series' first outing on the PlayStation. It's notable for being the last part of a BomberLore trilogy that started with Pocket Bomberman and for being the reincarnation of Virtual Bomberman, a canceled Virtual Boy game. It later got a rerelease in the obscure Bomberman Collection vol.1 for Windows.
