This page details one or more prototype versions of Nintendo DSi.

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: This section needs a lot of research done. What are the 46 branches, and even if it's missing the TWLIPL_Private repository, are there leftovers beyond from the actual System Menu? Are there any actual software differences for the iQue applications beyond some broken non-translated texts, and should these be put into their own Proto pages?

Despite the Nintendo DSi fading into obscurity in terms of development timelines and prerelease material, 2 early System Menu and System Settings prototypes were uncovered from different sources. These are known by the menu source code as "System Menu RED".

Additionally, in the September 2020 Nintendo leaks, located in platinum.7z/twl.7z/TwlIPL is the source code of 46 different DSi branches, and in generic.7z/sd.rar are several SystemUpdaters containing prototypes used for localizing the Nintendo DSi as the iQue DSi in China.

iQue Localization Builds

All of the builds below used SystemUpdater v1.2 as a base, meaning that all files related to Europe, North America, Japan and Australia are identical. v1.2C and v1.2K weren't publicly released, and region support wouldn't get released for these regions until August 17th 2009 with v1.4.
