Rockman DASH

These builds were created before the initial Japanese release.

August 5, 1997 (Biohazard 2 Trial Edition)
Not the earliest known public build, but one that was included in the Japanese version of Resident Evil: Director's Cut. Plenty of significant differences.

Created more than three weeks after the demo above. Essentially the same as NEO, except now it has the final name.

Mega Man Legends

The core game is finalized by this point, but undergoes the international localization period.

May 8, 1998 (E3 Show Version)

This build of Mega Man Legends, showcased at E3 1998 at Atlanta, Georgia, is what appears to be the completed final version but compiled five days before it was mastered, with tiny differentiations.

DEMO_DAT in the proto calls for a different graphic with a different name that contains copyright info at the title screen.

May 13, 1998

A review copy made just before the U.S. final with some slightly different copyright information.

Mega Man 64

The Nintendo 64 port also has an early prototype which appears to be quite rudimentary in the porting process.
