Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight is one of two sequels to Persona 4: Dancing All Night. Both games were probably made at the same time, as several bits of the content shown here is shared between the two.

Unused Models

Unused HD models of Zen and Rei, from Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth from the unused stage mentioned below. They are missing their walking animations.

P3D-P5D-test-model-1-max.png P3D-P5D-test-model-2-maya.png
Found in the Playstation 4 version, renders of a tall pillar and a wide pillar, named uv_ani_max.GFS and uv_ani_maya.GFS respectively. Likely test models due to their textures named test01.dds. The names seem to be after the 3D modeling programs, 3ds Max and Maya.

Music Videos

In the PlayStation 4 version, assets from the game's Music Videos, Life Will Change and Last Surprise, are left unused in favor of video files of them.

Unused Stage

There is a stage based on Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth's ending credits, where Zen and Rei walk as scenes from the game (either Persona 3 or Persona 4's side) scroll by. This was meant to be downloadable content for both here and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, but the content was released as a video file with a separate audio track instead, thus leaving the stage and the models unused. The stage itself is still functional via modding, although it's "longer" than most songs so it's not possible to see everything in it, but trying to load Zen and Rei crashes the game. This stage is only found in the Vita version.

Unseen Texture

Futaba's door in her room has textures for the front side but they can never been seen in-game.

Unused Graphics

A simple debug font found in the game's executable, commonly found in other recent Atlus games using the same engine.

A secondary debug font found in the executable, also found in recent Atlus titles using the same engine.

In data\event\tool_bin\evtTools.bin, there is a test image of a set of dialogue boxes featuring Ren Amamiya.

An early graphic of the custom play option. テスト用, Test Use, is written below it.

P5D's help text map. Save, Backlog, LET'S DANCE, Hide Window, Quick Skip, My Score, Page Skip, Pause, and Change BG are unused.

Persona 5 Leftovers

An unused save icon. This exact icon is also found in the PlayStation 4 version of Persona 5.

Leftover save and load graphics, likely a base for the game's cross-save function.

Placeholder, Early, and Scrapped Song Titles

Placeholder Translation Placeholder Final
P5D New Opening Theme (Temporary)
P5 Anime Opening
P5 Anime Ending

Placeholder song titles for GROOVY, Break In to Break Out, and INFINITY.

Placeholder Graphics

Unfinished art of Goro Akechi and Caroline and Justine with the kanji (仮), meaning temporary, over them.

On the main menu, there is a set of images that rotate between each member of the Phantom Thieves and the Velvet twins.
In the set, there is an unused image of Goro Akechi, without the filter used for the set and the kanji (仮) over him.

A dance stage preview background of Madarame's Palace with the kanji (仮) on it.

Placeholder tutorial images, with 仮素材, temporary resource.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night Leftovers

84% of data\mainmenu\collection, where the game's...collection (character viewer, high score, and view credits) is stored, are assets from its predecessor.
