Hmmm...
To do:
There are some debug-handler NPCs left in the game that can be accessed through out-of-bounds glitches.

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster is an outsourced remaster of the original to keep fans busy until Shin Megami Tensei V' was released. It now features voice acting, improved graphics, an updated localization, quality-of-life improvements, and even the option to play through all three versions of Nocturne (the original release, the Maniax re-release*, and the Chronicle Edition officially in English for the first time). It could have been the definitive version of the game had it not been bogged down by performance and stability issues not present in the original, which is frankly unacceptable from a PS2 game running on modern hardware with very limited visual enhancements beyond 1080p/30fps, and very poor-quality audio for the soundtrack.

* Only as paid DLC, due to the royalties needed to feature Dante from the Devil May Cry™ series.

Unused Graphics

Early Localization Name Selection

SMT3HDEarlyNameSelect.png

A leftover image taken during localization development, as the numbers and character names are in English while the rest is in Japanese.

Early Terminal Room

An early graphic for the terminal which lacks any detail.

Regional Differences

While this remaster uses the Chronicles Edition as its base, the versions released in Korea and China default to the original Japanese release of Nocturne due to Raidou Kuzunoha the XIV's character and design being rooted in Japanese colonial Imperialism imagery, which is a sensitive topic in Southeast Asian territories. Because of this, the only way to obtain the True Demon Ending in those versions being is to pay extra for the "Maniax Pack" DLC. While the "Chronicle Pack" was eventually released as a separate free download and was made available in Taiwan and Hong Kong, it was not made available in South Korea.
