The DS port of LEGO Friends is very similar to other ports.
Falling Timeout
The developers left in a mechanic that teleports the player back to the ground if they've been falling for too long. This mechanic was likely intended for bug situations in which the player fell through the level, and prevents them from falling for too long and being stuck. Before teleporting back, a recording that says "Uh, oh!" can be heard; this recording is heard nowhere else in the game.
