Another of the multiple Pokémon storage apps (along with the earlier Pokémon Box and later Pokémon Bank), notable for being the only outlet for players to legitimately obtain a Mew in the Generation IV games without attending any limited-time events.
Version Differences
On November 5, 2008, an update was released in Japan that added compatibility with Platinum, as well as the following changes:
- Storage space is increased from 1,000 Pokémon to 1,500.
- The level cap is increased to 26.
- All Pokémon forms introduced in Platinum (Giratina Origin form, Shaymin Sky form, Rotom appliance forms) are added, and can be seen by depositing the corresponding Pokémon while in said form.
- 11 new toys and 3 new Club Look See members are added.
- All Club Look See ranches can now be revisited at any time.
- A menu option to change the music is added.
- 12 new animations are added.
- Photos stored on an SD card inserted into the Wii can now be added in bulk rather than individually. Additionally, the photo storage space is increased from 20 to 30.
For unknown reasons, this update was never released overseas, leaving all of the new and updated content exclusive to the Japanese version.
