The Game.com Sonic Jam is not actually a port of the Saturn version, but rather just a collection of levels inspired by Sonic 2, Sonic 3, and Sonic & Knuckles mixed with bleepy music, ugly black-and-white graphics, inexcusable bugs, and an abysmal framerate that makes the gameplay very slow.

In other words, it ranks up there with Sonic '06, Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis, and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric as being one of the worst Sonic games.

Early Graphics

Hmmm...
To do:
Early versions of sprites for Knuckles are used instead of the final ones.
SonicJamGameComProtoHud.png

A larger HUD that was seen in pre-release material.

Graphics for the Sonic & Knuckles banner and Mushroom Hill intro graphic, looking very much like their Genesis counterparts. The final game doesn't bother with Zone names and instead just uses Act numbers.

"No Lock On"

SonicJamGameComNoLockon.png

Presumably, Sonic & Knuckles would have had support for "locking-on" the Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 cartridges for new content, similar to the Saturn version. This would be the icon shown when playing Sonic & Knuckles by itself.

Misplaced Rings

Kwality!

In Sonic & Knuckles Act 4, a set of rings which were meant to be placed in a loop are shifted slightly to the right and up of their intended positions.
