Christmas NiGHTS is essentially a glorified demo for NiGHTS into Dreams... which was given away by Sega during the 1996 holiday season. It features Spring Valley with a Christmas-themed makeover, plus several unlockables (such as the ability to play as Sonic) and numerous secrets tied to the Saturn's internal clock.

Quite a nice little package, wouldn't you say?

Frozen Bell

Before the game was released, Frozen Bell was featured as a part of the main demo as its own stage, reskinned and everything. However, it was more or less cut from the final version and turned into a dedicated link attack course, with only the first mare available for play, no Nightopians, and broken scenery. The rest of the stage is still there and is able to be completed, however it is missing several objects that make things look out of place, like train rails, sled pipes, and Nightmaren.

How to play Frozen Bell in Christmas NiGHTS using Yabause/Kronos emulator:

  • Open emulator's memory editor
  • Go to Address 060FFB15
  • Type 02 on the small highlighted box
    • Another alternative is to use Action Replay code 360FFB15 0002

WARNING: Don't play Frozen Bell without the game being set to winter mode. You will suffer immense pain.
