Mario Clash is probably best known as "the one game Mario fans never remember". It's a surprisingly solid 3D remake of Mario Bros. that likely would have been successful had it been released on literally any console other than the Virtual Boy.

Unused Graphics

MC Squash.gif

Mario getting squashed, likely by either a second player (which is impossible since a Virtual Boy link cable was never produced), or an enemy.

MC Slip.gif

Mario falling (slipping?) and landing on his backside. A similar animation can be found in the original game.

Oddities

Tile Viewer In-Game
MC ON.png MC OFF.png

Mario's face appears squished in-game, while in the tile version it appears normal.
